Use model toy to build a bridge with your team members
by Lori Muse
Team: 2 designers + 2 constructors + 2 marketing
1.Draft your bridge construction
The bridge should meet the required height, width, and length
2.Limit your budget, the less the better
(ex. each component is taged different price)
3.Construct you bridge in short time
4.Bridge must be tested with earthquake & could endure heavy load
5.Two people market their bridge
After the class:
I think it is not so simple as I imagined, cuz we have to fit all the
requirements assigned. Your bridge has not only to meet the size
but pass all the test. And there are different lengths of rods and
connectors to choose; all are in different price. Many times, you
have to think what kinda rod to use in order to cost less, at the same
time, not to sacrifice the quality of the bridge.
I really like the first group's idea though they spent the most time
among all groups. I totally didn't think that much & detail.
They are concerned about the return of the investment, ex. how many
cars the bridge can accomodate at a time and how much each car would
be charged; they calculatedthe total revenue to explain that the high cost
of the bridge is possible to be balanced.
Anyway, finally our group win the race. YEAH!!!
We met all the reuirements, size & earthquake and heavy load test & budget.
That's cool.
Maybe someday I should try the marketing part though I am not really good at sell. -_-
I like this program not just because it's a daytime program but because it offers
lots of soft skills courses & international trip to Central-America.
Some kinda soft skills really count!!! That's what I lack of.
KEEP GOING &
SPEAK OUT LOUDLY &
DON’T BE AFRAID!!
